What used car retains its value, is good on gas and is reliable and will not break down often..?

I am looking for a new car because mine was recently totaled. I want something no older than 2000, and at least cute looking. I'm looking for a sedan or coupe. What model holds up to my specifications? Toyotas? Fords? Hondas? etc? Any answer and advice is welcome!!|||Honda's hold their value more than any other car for several reasons.

One they do not sell to rental car companies

This prevents flooding the market with your vehicle and prevents people from getting "tired" of seeing the car.

Secondly, they manufacture cars based on customer's demands instead of cost efficiency. If trends call for small cars they make smaller cars (honda fit) if the trends call for trucks they make trucks.

This increases the demand for their cars

Thirdly, they very rarely offer dealer incentives (only once or twice a year, as opposed to every other week) This keeps the initial cost high.

So there you have it, a combination of supply and demand keeps them valued high. We all know Honda's are extremely fuel efficient, especially if you spring for any one of the hybrids.

My favorite model is the Accord, its spacious, fuel efficient, and practical.

btw ....if you take a deep breath after reading this answer, you just smelled 10 points!|||I would say Honda. I have owned two of them now (right now I am driving a 2006 Civic) and would never drive anything else. They get good gas mileage and I really have never had to have them in for repair. The other plus side to owning them is that you only have to change the oil every 5,000 miles because of the oil and filters that they use. I would recommend if you do purchase a Honda to take it to the Honda dealerships to service it. Good luck!|||Subaru holds the 7th spot out of all cars in the world for retaining the most of their original value, BMW holds the 10th spot

Scion holds the 1st spot, Hummer is 8th, Lexus is number 6, Toyota 5th (Lexus is owned by Toyota)..Nissan comes in 9th, Honda comes in 2nd, Acura comes in 4th, BMW (MINI) comes in 3rd.

However, over any of those cars I would choose BMW or Subaru. Reliability they are far better and last much longer than any car and have much more power and drive.|||Both Mazda and Volkswagen golfs are great cars.|||To fit the bill above ... Corollas, Civics, Camrys %26amp; Accords. The same boring cars everyone else has on the road, but they all hold their value, all are good on gas and are all reliable. Too boring for my taste, as they're all plain Jane to me ... but to a young lady like yourself, one should fit the bill for you.|||toyota corolla, friendly prices. cute. sedan. fuel economy. try black! :)|||$6,000
